Last Thursday, me and my family received the most horrifying news we wouldn't dare to imagine. My cousin, Grace, had committed suicide. She was only 14 years old.
There are things in this world we will never understand, one of them is why she would want to do something like this to herself.
We didn't even see it coming, she was just so happy on the outside we didn't even take the time to think about how she really felt on the inside.
I wish I gotten to know her more. I really only got to see her once or twice a year, which clearly, wasn't enough for me.
To those of you who have never experienced anything like this, I hope to God you never have to. There is nothing more unbearable than losing someone to suicide. I can't even describe the feeling.
-------------
I'm not sure if this is the last time I saw her, but what I do know is that this is the last photo I ever got to take of her, which sadly, was back in August of 2010.
We were at Lake George on her grandfathers boat going as fast as we could on it. She was so happy that day. --------------
Isn't she the most beautiful girl you've ever seen?
Pleas don't say any mean comments. If there are any I'll be sure to report them and make sure you regret it.
I have lost a dear friend to suicide, and nobody saw it coming either. In the aftermath it all came out and his reasons were there to see. None of us knew afterwards if we would have been able to help him in time. The pain remains... She looks so lovely in this picture!
Your cousin Grace did look like a happy young lady, and yes, she is quite pretty. I only hope that whatever peace she was trying to find has finally been found wherever she is now.
